powercloud Case Study: HubSpot as a CRM | Mark Lotse

The Challenge

powercloud was looking for a platform where marketing and sales could work together. It needed to be scalable, easy to use on a day-to-day basis, and quick to implement.

Added to this was the search for an agency partner to guide the onboarding process, help set up ongoing campaigns, and tailor the platform to a company whose requirements change as rapidly as its size.

And that was precisely the real challenge:

  • How do you implement a tool when conditions are constantly changing?

  • When a company grows from 12 to over 300 employees between 2018 and 2022?

  • What if 20 sales employees are added in the middle of the implementation phase?

The Solution

The answer lies in a platform that scales with the business and a partner who thinks ahead at the same pace.

1. Implement marketing software

We worked closely with the marketing team to lay the groundwork: templates for email campaigns and landing pages, lead scoring, a reporting framework, and templates for ongoing campaigns.

2. Switching from Pipedrive to HubSpot

In the second step, we mapped the individual processes of the various sales teams in HubSpot and automated the sales processes using workflows.

3. Train the entire sales team

The training sessions took place during the pandemic and were therefore conducted entirely remotely. By the end, the team was using HubSpot in their day-to-day operations.

The Result

HubSpot serves as the central CRM for sales and also consolidates marketing activities. Marketing and sales now operate on a shared data foundation. This setup lays the groundwork for further growth.
